THE ISLAND-KINGDOM OF REDONDA, IN THE WEST INDIES
To clarify current misconceptions, please take note of the following:
The Island of Redonda, although prior-claimed by Matthew Dowdy Shiell
in 1865, was annexed by the British Government and is now in the jurisdiction
of Antigua & Barbuda.
The Title of King of Redonda, established by M.D.Shiell
in 1865, has survived as Incorporeal Property in Law: all the validated
documentary proofs are held by lawyers representing the present
sole, true and legitimate owner.
The attached letter, dated 3rd December,1982, (from
the Honorary Solicitor- General of the Realm, now Professor of the
Law School, Queensland University, Australia) concerning the legal
rights of the fourth King, remains valid and unchallenged.
All enquiries concerning the Realm of Redonda and its true Kings
should be addressed to The Secretary, The Redondan Foundation, P.O.
Box 760, Thurlton, NORWICH, NR14 6TX, U.K.
All enquiries concerning the Literary Estates of Matthew Phipps
Shiell, the second King (1865-1947) and Terence Ian Fytton Armstrong,
alias John Gawsworth, the third King (1912-1970) should be addressed
to The Literary Executor, c/o Paddocks, Day’s Lane, Fontwell, ARUNDEL,
